Welcome to NightWings Foundation

Habitat conservation,
preservation and restoration

NightWings is a private foundation established to support conservation and habitat preservation initiatives that specifically benefit Australia’s flying-foxes and microbats. From a broader perspective, every effort to protect and maintain habitat (with connectivity and corridors between) benefits all native wildlife.

Our Mission

Bat conservation
and positive promotion

Our approach to philanthropy is primarily to support projects that enhance essential bat roosting and feeding habitats. Assistance may also be offered to other projects that aim to benefit bats and reduce the potential for human interaction and conflict.

Our Vision
Increased public awareness, understanding and appreciation of the importance of bats – the real stars in Australia’s night sky.

Two of Australia’s four flying-fox species could be functionally extinct by 2050
